This past weekend, we ventured into the heart of North Carolina for a long weekend in Raleigh, and it did not disappoint. Our adventure began at Morgan Street Food Hall, a vibrant dining destination in Raleigh's Warehouse District. With 23 local vendors and two bars, we indulged in a variety of cuisines, from sushi to tacos, all under one roof.
Next, we strolled through the historic North Carolina State Capitol grounds, admiring the Greek Revival architecture and the rich history dating back to 1840.
Taking advantage of Raleigh's Sip n' Stroll program, we enjoyed craft beers while exploring downtown's vibrant streets. This initiative allows visitors to purchase alcoholic beverages from licensed establishments and enjoy them within designated social districts.
We then visited the Raleigh Times Bar, a historic establishment known for its extensive selection of craft and Belgian beers. The rooftop provided a perfect spot to relax and soak in the city's atmosphere.
As evening approached, we embarked on a True Crime Walking Tour, delving into Raleigh's darker history with tales of notorious crimes and local legends.
