Wrapped up an unforgettable weekend at the 24th Silver Valley Jeep® Jamboree in Mullan, Idaho—and let me tell you, it was the perfect blend of off-road adventure, small-town charm, and mountain scenery.

From the moment we rolled into town, the energy was electric. Mullan may be small, but it’s got character, and the locals go all out to make everyone feel welcome. We even got a guided tour of the town of Mullan called the Mayor's Run. After checking in and linking up with other Jeepers, we settled into that familiar rhythm of trail prep, gear checks, and swapping stories with new and old friends alike.
Tucked away in the mountains of North Idaho, Wallace is one of those places that surprises you—in the best possible way. Known as the "Center of the Universe" (seriously, there’s a plaque downtown to prove it), Wallace is a quirky, historic, and wildly scenic town that offers a perfect mix of outdoor adventure and small-town charm.
What makes Wallace so special is its deep roots in mining history. Nearly every building downtown is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and walking through town feels like stepping into a preserved piece of the Old West. From classic brick buildings and vintage neon signs to local museums and tours of old silver mines, the town proudly embraces its past.
But Wallace isn’t stuck in history. It’s a hub for mountain biking, hiking, ATV riding, and some of the best huckleberry treats you’ll ever try. The Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes runs right through town, offering 70+ miles of paved biking and walking paths through forests, lakes, and scenic valleys. And nearby attractions like the Pulaski Tunnel Trail and Silver Mountain Resort keep adventure close at hand.
Whether you're coming through for a day or spending a long weekend, Wallace delivers way more than you'd expect from a town with one stoplight. It’s fun, funky, and full of stories—and once you visit, you’ll want to come back.
