Sometimes the best weekends are the simple ones—good food, a little sunshine, and a change of scenery. That’s exactly what we got with a low-key but perfect weekend that started in Grants Pass and ended with sandy toes in Crescent City.
Saturday morning kicked off with a stroll through the Grants Pass Growers’ Market, one of the best in Southern Oregon. The vibe was friendly and local, with live music playing, the smell of fresh-baked goods in the air, and tables overflowing with colorful produce, handmade crafts, and flowers. We grabbed some fresh fruit, pastries, and coffee from a local roaster and just wandered—chatting with vendors and soaking in the small-town charm.
The next day, we packed up and took the scenic drive southwest to Crescent City, California for a spontaneous beach day. In just over an hour and a half, we went from river valley to rugged coastline. The weather was perfect—cool breeze, sunny skies, and just the right amount of fog rolling in for that classic Northern California mood. We spent the day walking the beach, exploring tide pools, and just relaxing with the sound of the waves in the background. Simple and refreshing.
It was one of those weekends that didn’t need an itinerary. A little local flavor, a little ocean air, and a whole lot of good vibes. Sometimes that’s all it takes.
